One of the most popular walks in Cambridgeshire is the one between Cambridge and the nearby village of Grantchester. The walk is about 3 miles (5.5 km) in each direction. You can park in Grantchester (as the parking is much easier) and do the circular walk to Cambridge and back.
In Cambridge, you have the option of stopping for a meal or snack to break up your journey and there are many cafés and restaurants available. I always enjoy calling at the Copper Kettle, which is opposite King’s College, Cambridge. You also have the opportunity to extend the walk by visiting the Colleges, for example.
In Grantchester, there is the Orchard Tea Garden, the Blue Ball Inn, the Red Lion and the Rupert Brooke restaurant if you prefer to walk from Cambridge, or fancy start-or-walk or end-of-walk refreshments.
