Peterborough Cathedral provides a wonderful location for enthusiast photographers since it is such a lovely building and photography is permitted. I attended a Christmas carol concert there in December 2021. The concert featured Peterborough Male Voice Choir, Peterborough Voices, Peterborough Youth Choir and Peterborough Festival Brass. It also featured mezzo soprano Karen England, who was extremely impressive.
I took along my Sony A1 camera to capture some handheld photos of the Cathedral in the concert interval since it was so beautifully illuminated. This task was particularly challenging as I didn’t have a tripod or monopod with me and light levels were low. I’ve added these photos to my Peterborough Cathedral gallery, which can be viewed here:

When I left the Cathedral, the Christmas lights in Peterborough city centre looked very pretty, so I ended up taking a few snaps handheld.
