Photographing Flowers: Snowdrops and Daffodils

One of the ways that I’ve been able to maintain motivation with my photography has been the creation of themed galleries. They have ensured that I never feel short of future photography subjects or ideas. One of my most important galleries for inspiration has been my Flower, Plants and Trees Gallery, which you can access here:

In order to develop this gallery, I took a trip to Walsingham Abbey in Norfolk in February 2023, where I saw the biggest and most extensive collection of snowdrops that I’ve ever seen.

This trip was quickly followed by a visit to Anglesey Abbey in Cambridgeshire, to see the snowdrops there.

Demonstrating how quickly seasons change, I visited Anglesey Abbey and Wimpole Hall shortly afterwards, in early April, to capture the daffodils.

Already, I am looking forward to revisiting Sheringham Park in Norfolk in May to see spectacular displays of rhododendrons, as well as a future visit to Keukenhof, Amsterdam to photograph tulips. One thing is for sure. My Flower, Plants and Trees Gallery will never be complete!
