Two years ago, when I set myself the photography challenge of capturing as many Cambridge colleges as I could, I hadn’t bargained for coronavirus and the length of time that many colleges would remain closed to visitors. Recently, I had the opportunity to take some photographs of St John’s College.
Very few people would disagree that St John’s is one of the most beautiful colleges at Cambridge, with an amazing chapel, outstanding architecture and the fascinating Wren Bridge and the Bridge of Sighs (viewed both from the River Cam and from inside).

On Sunday 28th November 2021, I was privileged to attend the Radio 3 live broadcast of the Advent Carol Service in St John’s College Chapel. The service was an amazing experience from beginning to end. I hope, at some point, that I will be able to take some photos of the beautiful chapel from different locations.
